Florennes Air Base

The Florennes Air Base is an important military air base of the Belgian Air Component located in Wallonia, Belgium. Established during the Second World War, the base later became a strategic center for Belgian and NATO air operations. It is home to the 2nd Tactical Wing and has operated aircraft such as the F-16 Fighting Falcon, while transitioning to the F-35A Lightning II. Florennes Air Base plays a key role in international cooperation, pilot training, and strengthening European air defense capabilities.
